Pocast can't be paused, fast forwarded or rewound
I used to love this podcast, but recently (since ~early Nov 2007), I can no longer pause and restart the podcast on my iPod. When I pause it for any length of time (or try to fast forward or rewind) it resets back to the beginning of the material. Is this by design?. It seems like all the NBC materials (like Countdown, etc) now work this way, but no other material does. I have reet my iPod so I think it is an NBC thing. In any case, if it continues to work this way I'll simply switch to getting my daily national news from CBS or ABC. Yours, Marc
Two Day Old News
I'm here at itunes at 7:05 p.m. Pacific Coast Time looking for the NBC Nightly News for tonight February 8, but the only NBC news available is for February 6. NBC news is pretty good when its fresh but I don't eat two-day-old muffins or news.
Can't forward / rewind / pause podcast anymore
Whatever NBC did, they figured out how to create the most annoying podcast out there. Once one of the best news podcasts, someone decided to change the encoding scheme in such a way as to prevent people from fast forwarding through the commercial breaks or even pause the podcast without being re-directed to the very beginning. Quite a feat, I have to admit. For fellow sufferers, you can re-encode the podcast and it will allow you to get back the ability to fast forward, pause, etc.
