NeoScum is a future-fantasy comedy podcast featuring five Chicago improvisers antagonizing their way through the roleplaying classic, Shadowrun. It follows a group of misfits and outsiders: a chromehead decker, a teenage candy-junky klepto, a kid's show wizard with a petulant thirst for adventure, and the nastiest trucker this side of the robo-Mason-Dixon. Join the irascible NeoScum crew as they make their way across a strange but familiar America in 2077, doling out street justice to every deeb they encounter – whether they deserve it or not. NeoScum is Blair Britt, Mike Migdall, Gannon Reedy, Eleni Sauvageau, and Casey Toney. BTLP - Better than Life Podcast

I read that this podcast got weird 30 minutes in, but having listened to a lot of role playing podcasts that are mostly improv, I found the players relatively sane at that point. Then one of them decided to pick a fight with an npc that was only there to correct a pop culture mistake and suddenly they're breaking in to a hotel room and using magic to punch the guy from across the hall (since the character is too out of shape and cowardly to actually fight him). I don't think I've ever heard an actual play that went that bizarre and I'm leaving out the weirder moments so you can also have your jaw hit the floor listening to it. If you love Satanic Panic or Campaign (one of the players is Binbon in Campaign), this is your new jam. There's a children's show tv villain, truckers, hackers, murder, an orc, corporate sabotage, accent work, a TON of improv, and a truck named Xanadu that you're going to fall in love with. So jack these (surprisingly soothing) voices in to your hearing outlet and upload a future that even William Gibson couldn't imagine.
