Great Fun

I spent ten minutes trying to figure out why I love this so podcast much: it has an arch Eliza Bennett drollness and a friendlily playful jollity that had me giggling the whole way through. Simply described, it's two sisters with twelve kids between them drinking coffee in a Goodwill parking lot. Seriously. They discuss laundry (especially socks), books, sheet rock, cooking with kids, inventing shoes (kind of), Sabbath feasts, Wodehouse and the occasional quail. Their laughter is infectious and I suddenly have a deep respect for their mother, as "lively" is the diplomatic way to describe them.

I suppose it's akin to lounging in an easy chair with a pint and a pipe while two friends have a generally hilarious conversation on the couch. But it is just that: a conversation. It's not a "themed" podcast in which we discuss what's wrong with the world (Chesterton was) and how we fix it (more Chestertons). Rather it's a worldview on public display, a worldview of laughter and love and life, rooted in profound gratitude. And it's inexplicably hilarious. Listen, be edified and encouraged, and laugh till you "quake like a jelly in a high wind."

solid.

Worth your while!
