Having a baby is life-changing. Having a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is life-altering. But as a parent, you do not have to do it alone. Whether your baby is premature, has special needs, or you are grieving a loss, Hand to Hold provides whole-family support to get you through this challenging time. Hand to Hold’s NICU Now Audio Support Series is a support-based podcast aimed to eliminate the many physical and emotional barriers NICU parents face in accessing and receiving support, allowing them to listen as they commute to and from the hospital as well as at their baby’s bedside. NICU Now is unlike any other podcast because it tackles tough subjects with compassion and experience, including guilt, grief and information to help parents care for their premature babies. Hand to Hold wants to ensure that every NICU and bereaved parent who needs support can simply plug in their earbuds and push play. Episodes will eventually be available in Spanish.

A must have for NICU parents
This is the first of its kind... a resource for NICU parents and family members on the go. This is a great companion in the NICU or waiting room.
Great for NICU nurses and providers!
As a NICU nurse this podcast has given me a new perception of what NICU parents experience. It will make any great NICU nurse and provider step up the compassion they give to families! I only wish we had this when I first became a NICU nurse. It will surely change lives for so many involved in caring for the tiniest patients in the hospital! Thank you Hand to Hold for being so honest and passionate!
A godsend for preemie/NICU parents
So many preemie/NICU families suffer in silence and isolation, as I once did. This podcast helps parents -- esp moms -- acknowledge the deeply conflicted emotions that can be so overwhelming when a baby is born at the edge of life: fear, guilt, shame, powerlessness, failure. And in breaking down those walls of silence and isolation, I think this podcast will help thousands of families become empowered to advocate for their children in a society that often devalues their basic human worth. I'm honored for my own memoir, GIRL IN GLASS, to be featured in episode 2, but even more grateful that this podcast now exists for so many families like mine.
