Description

No, YOU Tell It! is a nonfiction reading series dedicated to performing true-life tales with a twist: Each participant develops their own story on the page and then flips scripts with a partner to present each other’s story on stage. Podcast episodes feature one pair of swapped stories from our live shows in NYC.

Customer Reviews

Fun, clever, often moving

Great idea- storytellers write 15 minute essays based around a theme, but then the piece is read by a different person. Some really great writing and there are some great performances, too. Highly recommend.

Commuting Gold

I listen to these on the subway, and the segments are the perfect amount of time for my ride. The writing is fantastic, and you can tell the writers/performers that are reading the stories understand them on a deeper level (and actually enjoy reading the stories). It’s a snapshot of human experience that I think we all crave. Makes a great addition to my podcast rotation, and the hosts are fantastic, as well.

Say “YES!” to “No, YOU Tell It!"

It’s clever; it’s witty, and, make no mistake; one day, this humble podcast will save the world. The premise is simple. Write your own story based on a given theme and agree to tell another’s. That person agrees to tell yours. The courage to see things from another’s point of view for a few minutes, to speak with another’s voice, and to hear what your words actually sound like coming from someone else’s mouth…these are experiences with value beyond entertainment, and they are needed in this age of polarization and cellular isolation. That is what “No, YOU Tell It!” both promises and delivers, and its potential is infinite.
