Allison Sheridan's technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Macintosh bias

Customer Reviews

One of my favorite Mac-based casts

When I first looked at the image, I didn't realize it was a tech-based cast, much less Mac-based, but fortunately I noticed the accompanying blurb and checked it out. I've listened to a lot of Mac-based casts, and I have to say that Allison's is one of my favorites. She knows her stuff and is a very entertaining presenter. She is a Mac evangelist without being a Windows basher and manages somehow in each cast to teach me something I didn't yet know (which not all the Mac casts can claim!). Mac fans, don't miss this one.

Hooked On This Podcast Since Feb 2006

My Mac knowledge was passable until I found Allison's podcast. Her enthusiasm for freeware and shareware is addicting. I find myself downloading programs based on Allison's reviews. And it is not all tech with her. You get to hear bits and pieces of her family life and her auto waxing obsession. The best thing about this podcast? If you miss an episode (and I never do), you can go right to her website...cause she has typed the whole thing out word for word!

Many people have accused Mac fans of being arrogant, smug and self-righteous, and way too pushy in terms of their Mac evangelism. Sadly many of the Mac podcasts out there reflect this. Not so with Allison Sheridan's NosillaCast. She does admit to an "EVER SO SLIGHT" Mac bias, but it truly is "ever so slight." I never get any of that condescending, holier-than-thou attitude that exudes from many of the Mac audience. In fact she is always trying out different things with different OS's and platforms (e.g. Linux). Her delivery style is very friendly and down-to-earth, and you truly feel like she is talking TO you, not AT you. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone with even a slight interest in the Macintosh world. Don't be afraid, not every Mac user is a raving lunatic/zealot.
