Description

We all remember the games of our childhood fondly, but are we just seeing them through Nostalgia Goggles? Lyons and George take another look at classic 8 and 16-bit games to see if they still hold up.

Mortal kombat II episode.

The game is much more fun on the arcade machine. Don’t fart on it if you haven’t played the real version.
Otherwise it’s a great podcast.

An Honest & In-Depth Look at Retro Gaming

Lyons and George systematically break down retro games with extremely thoughtful analysis. They mostly focus on NES and SNES titles. They are both opinionated, funny guys who keep me coming back for more. I think we're on a similar wavelength when it comes to looking back on these fond video game memories and how their experience translates today. I often think that most people would agree with their views as well. They are experts at detailing nearly every major aspect of whatever game they're covering on a given episode. It's refreshing to hear such a structured presentation. Their tangents and analogies are great as well. Excellent stuff!!

Fun retrospective

Love these dudes. Found them searching for a pod covering my fav childhood game (zombies ate my neighbors) bcuz who doesn't randomly search for podcasts on hyper specific subjects? Anyway, glad I found them. Def cover some weird/obscure games but they're funny and also the one guy sounds like Seth Rogan so there's that.
