Quality control issues
I want to love this podcast, as an infectious disease biologist and as a curious person. The second episode, “Create Something Beautiful,” have me pause, unfortunately. The guest was prone to tangents, and the hosts kept him on topic reasonably well for the most part, but then they started talking about infectious diseases...the information was inaccurate and the treatment of it surprisingly cavalier. Maybe a little editing was in order? I’m going to give it another try, but It makes me wonder whether I can trust the information I hear in future episodes.
Important, fun pod
Shannon and Leena do a great job introducing the audience to a growing-in-variety group of scientists who spend their lives doing very different things! I’ve found every episode interesting and engaging and I hope that they continue to get diverse and impressive guests. Most scientists are indeed “normal” people and S & L bring that out in their guests by being engaging and curious. Recommend!
A refreshing look at basic science research and the real people behind the work. This podcast is perfect for anyone who is excited, confused, or scared by science and science research!
