Comedian Michael Ian Black is tackling a great work of literature. Actually, Tackling might be too strong a word. More like “light caressing” plus a lot of complaining. He's reading the Thomas Hardy classic, Jude the Obscure, out loud and commenting as he goes. Join Michael, some of his famous (and non-famous) friends and experts as he discovers Jude’s world and a few things about his own. Is it a terrible idea? Probably. But it’s a terrible idea he wants to do with you.

Best Audiobook Ever

The best way to consume a classic that you probably should have read in college but didn’t is to have Michael Ian Black read it to you. His commentary keeps it interesting and makes it funny... plus, he’s a genuinely good narrator!

Jude the dude

Just finished episode 2 and it has me laughing, not just because MIB is talking ‘bout puddin’ but his dry wit is quite entertaining. I am feeling an Oliver Twist sort of attachment to the main character of the story already. A lover of olde English lit, I too have never read and am enjoying listening whilst folding the laundry, walking the dog, etc.😘Also a good escape from current events.😰
