Inspiring and challenging
“How did you feel? Was there any fear?”
This podcast is fantastic! For anyone who is thinking of taking a risk, personally, creatively or professionally, and needs a kick in the pants- Elaine Appleton Grant's curious and intimate interviewing style will wriggle into your ears and give you plenty of food for thought. "One More Shot" features interviews with diverse and interesting individuals who took a chance and followed their dreams. The interview subjects explain exactly how they were able to do so -- what motivated them, what worked and what didn't, and how specifically they took their first steps toward the unknown. Take this exchange from her interview with meditation and wellness coach Grace Estripeaut:
“How did you feel? Was there any fear?”
“Oh my God. Was there fear? Complete fear. Um, it was excitement, and it was fear. And there was… there still is some fear. It’s not as big as it used to be. Really, that voice in your head that says ‘you can’t, who do you think you are..?!' But that little voice that had me say ‘yes’ to that opportunity said ‘no, keep taking these steps, do it, you're here to help people, this is what lives in you.’ And that little voice now has a lot more space. And the fear has taken a back seat.”
This podcast will help anyone who has a big idea in their heart manifest it into reality and give it space to breathe and grow- and it'll help you push that fear into the back seat. Go listen!!
Inspirational and Intriguing
These are stories you might not otherwise hear from people you want to know. There is no “I can’t,” only “I can,” in this podcast. Grant is a highly seasoned interviewer who brings out the best in the people she talks with. It’s well worth a listen.
