Description

A podcast to discuss all things feminist, from gender politics to pop culture. Hosts Amanda Marcotte (Pandagon) and Samhita Mukhopadhyay (Feministing) comb over the news and spend one hour a week dissecting items that aren’t getting the mainstream media coverage they deserve. When the mainstream media isn’t ignoring important stories about gender issues, they’re providing piss-poor coverage. We can’t fix that problem, but we can aim some sarcasm in its general direction while informing the self-selected smarty-pants Citizen Radio crew. The show will feature news, digressions about music nerding, and interviews with some of the coolest and sharpest feminist minds of our digital age.

Already a hit

These two make for perfect radio together. Even when the stories don't have much impact on me (being a gay man women's issues don't impact my life very directly) these two convey the importance of these issues in an exuberant way. Not only informative but genuinely fun to listen to. Highly recommended.

Genders Unite under this Entertaining and Enlightening Podcast

Samhita and Amanda are knowledgable, funny, and very talented writers and speakers who are more then happy to inform you about the issues that need addressing; From the anti-women's health legislation going on across the US to the downsides of "mainstream" dubstep, they put a delightful and humorous tone to everything they discuss. Man or women, this show is not to be missed. Educate yourself and broaden your horizons with Samhita and Amanda. You may also find Samhita's last name to be addictively pleasing to say.
