Feel like I’m sitting with you both on the farm getting my cup filled again!
I was folding laundry listening to the second episode stopping several times to ugly cry... you both spoke right to this heart of mine in the midst of three boys under 6, in a house I feel so frustrated with in so many way, even tho my mouth speaks the thanks my heart isn’t always in it, wanting to be in the next I know God is leading me to, but also wondering what he really as for me (are both those things possible?!). Either way I haven’t been enjoying the rain before me and I’m ready to! Can’t thank God enough for bringing both of your voices into my life right now! 😍
Two new dear friends!
I have come to realize that I’ve started thinking of Lisa Jo and Christie as my two new dear friends…! Listening to their podcast brings me such comfort and perspective, and makes me feel connected to them and to the rest of the world – which is especially important not only at this time in society, but for me personally as a mother to little ones at home, while working outside the house and sometimes feeling like I’m having a hard time keeping my head above water.
I frequently find find myself thinking about the importance of standing in the storm, in one of your first episodes that immediately had me hooked and needing to hear more. I, thankfully, have always cherished my ordinary life, and now listening to you both, there is a sense of warmth and connection that I’m so grateful I get to tap into every few days!
Thank you so much for this gift!
Not a podcast listener!
I am not a podcast listener, but this is the podcast I have gone back to the beginning and listened to every episode. I have been in a season of no friends, I mean no friends! But after reading Lisa-Jo’s book Unfriended and doing the “We Saved You a Seat” bible study, I am beginning to go out and make friends and reconnect with old friends. Thank you for unknowingly encouraging me to let God heal gaping wounds and know that I am a good friend in Jesus! Your friendship is wonderful to hear each week. I hope to one day hear myself talking as you two talk to each other. And Christie, I ordered your books too.
