Panels on Channels is a weekly roundup podcast about comic book shows, there will be spoilers ahead and since this is a podcast involving comic books there will be nerds getting passionate about the things they love. It’ll be endearing, but things you love may get insulted. Rest assured we recognize all opinions are valid and we’re happy to engage in conversations, but we won’t engage in flame wars or fights. There are other Podcasts for that.

The Party is Over Here and Everyone is Invited!

The aspects about comic books and comic culture that are so seductive to me are its many layers. As an artist and amateur art historian the history, the art and the culture that has sprouted around comics over the years has prompted curiosity for me. Unfortunately, unlike many comic book fans this curiosity came later in life. I didn't read comics as a kid and as a girl it wasn't an encouraged. The trend of comic book fandom, in my experience, is either you're "in" or you're "out" and a thorough knowledge about any given superhero is required for initiation. However, I was pleased to discover that Panels on Channels is indirectly changing the way we discuss comic culture. The forum in which comic themed shows and films are discussed on this podcast are informal, almost as if three friends got together for coffee to discuss their favorite cheesy line on Gotham that week. The "no tie" necessary nature of the podcast is super approachable and if I could be present with the panel, I would not hesitate to ask a question.

With all this aside, I must say that in itself this podcast is super entertaining to listen to. The obvious enthusiasm and love the panel has for comic culture is infectious and often I find myself laughing along with the group. I highly recommend this podcast for those with a deep rooted interest in all things comics and for people like me who just want to learn more. Happy listening!

Great work, Fellas.

I discovered 'Panels' while driving home from Virginia on the advice of my wife. I love the commentary, and I can appreciate the spirited discussion of all things right and wrong of 'Arrow,' 'Flash,' and 'Gotham.'

Keep it coming, fellas; you're the cooler, hipper Comic Book Men.

'Nuff said.

Fun Times and Good Discussions

Started listening to this show recently and after a few episodes I decided to go back and listen to all of them, all are great! The Jessica Jones one in particular is full of great discussions. I watch almost all of the shows they talk about and it is great to hear people lament the idiocy that can be Arrow, the unnoticed intelligence in the Flash, and the brilliance of Marvel TV. These comic shows are often looked over by larger podcasts or entertainment wrap ups, it is really nice to hear an entire hour devoted to them.
