Enriching our view of the times

In a series of sparkling conversations these gifted historians, wearing their learning lightly, help us to take the long view of our tumultuous and baffling times. Listen and learn why Faulkner said that “the past is never dead. It's not even past."

Interesting take on current events

One of the only news podcasts I enjoy simply because it's down-to-earth, no frills, intelligent discussion. It's also really creative and informative to me as a college student.

Both insightful and entertaining

I LOVE THIS PODCAST. It is kind of my dream news story / podcast - I always wonder about whether current events we are living through are *really* new and novel or if they are more similar to past events than we might think. The Past Present team is fun and funny but also super knowledgeable and great at making interesting connections that aren't obvious.
