I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast! As a Genetic Counseling student about to start my masters in the fall it's great to listen to these patient and Genetic Counselor experiences.
my favorite genetics podcast
“Patient Stories” is an excellent podcast. Depending on the episode, you’ll get a patient’s perspective on testing, a GC’s, or both! Eleanor does a great job of providing any context a layman may need, but the episodes to date have been very relatable, no matter your background or personal experience with genetic counseling. Highly recommended!
you don’t have to be a scientist to love stories
As a non-sciencey person, I often don’t find genetics-related information palatable or compelling, but Patient Stories is just that. Easy to understand, and gripping story-content told by real people and genetic counselors.
Powerful and thought-provoking. Highly recommend as a great way to learn about genetics and the vast impact they make in different people’s lives!
