I’m a huge fan but…
The new hosts have indulged their politics a bit much, especially when it comes to coverage of criminal violence and the regulation of firearms in the US. Framing these complex issues of political freedoms—long denied to African Americans and immigrant city dwellers— and the challenges of e pluribus unum diversity on social norms and community cohesion under the facile notion of “gun violence” not only insults the intelligence of loyal News Hour aficionados but is nothing more than advocacy of their well-meaning but fundamentally misguided political preferences.
What’s with the background noise?!?
I love newshr podcast and listen every day. But, I just finished listening to Nick Schifrin’s tank battalion suicide story and could barely hear the guests with all the background noise. I imagine there were visuals to go with it, but for the podcast it was just extremely unpleasant NOISE. I’d had enough and was about to fast-forward when it finally ended. I give this segment 2 stars.

amna did an EXCELLENT job of interviewing texas republican politician by pushing back on her stats and more. the rest of mainstream news should follow your lead. maybe had the rest of mainstream news been doing this since 2015 we wouldn’t be in the maga stink hole we are in now.
