Alex and Phil make great hosts, and it's nice to hear them agree and disagree on certain topics and movies. Bottom line, give 'em a listen. You won't be disappointed!
Great podcast for the Film Nerd in us all
I was introduced to this podcast through Phil Kollar, one of my favorite writers at Game Informer and was pleasently suprised at how good this podcast was. While I may not always agree with them all the time (I can't get over Alex's hate of the first Hangover) I think their opinions on many films such as Hangover II and Pirates 4 are dead on. Their knowledge of film is excellent and these two are some of my favorite film critics. I especially love the fan involvement and I really feel connected to the hosts. They never talk down to their audience and always remember that they are just like all of us. Fans. Keep up the great podcasting guys.
Intelligence without pretentiousness
I picked up on this podcast because I've been a Phil Kollar fan since his Rebel FM days. The best thing I can say about this podcast is that it discusses its subject matter seriously, but does not, at any point, sound as though it is two film snobs telling you what you should like. Too many podcasts are like that these days and I am always happy to find one that isn't. They rib each other from time to time but it seems to come more out of friendship than an "I like better movies" attitude. If you just want to listen to two guys talk about movies, this one is for you.
