Rip Roaring Radio

If you’re a fan of the hard boiled crime stories than you’re in good company. These guys give great insight into the books & authors who wrote them. I look forward to their recommendations too. Keep it up fellas.

The Podcast always rings twice

Good production values, the hosts are knowledgeable and the subject matter is engrossing. What else do you want? The two hosts discuss great works of fiction which happen to fall into the Noir genre. Not only do they discuss the lierary value of each book but also the author's biography and the historical and socio-political trends that influeced the book. And somehow they manage do this without boring the hell out of me. Five stars all the way.
- Robert J. Smith, author of "Petectives" (a surefire candidate for the "Really Stupid Mysteries" segment)

ep. 1 Excellent

Really enjoyed listening to Point Blank podcast ep1! You guys got off to a great start....I thought the podcast production was excellent....I put Cold Cold Ground on my list....lol, got back in-touch with The Killer Inside Me....Savage Art is on my list. (Which reminds me....two of my fave Jim Thompson's are his two-fer autobio, Bad Boy (1953) & Roughneck (1954). Some real eye-opening & funny stories.) The references on the Show Notes are excellent...I'm going to run them all down....I need to reread Red Harvest before I continue on with ep2..
