Description

POLITICO's top reporters dive into the political landscape, the latest numbers that matter, and detail what's really happening behind closed doors. They're people who spend Friday nights poring over poll numbers or the latest Federal Election Commission reports — so if you want to understand how the modern politics game is played, this is the podcast for you. New episodes every Friday, hosted by Scott Bland.

Fantasy ruins potential

So far the worst of the politics podcasts I've subscribed to. This week they build a case for Sanders somehow being the nominee. Since the only possible reason to spew such bs is to get positive reviews from tech savvy Bernie acolytes, I thought I would leave a more realistic one. To the members of the cast, you all have potential, but please give realistic analysis instead of pipe dreams, until you do it makes it hard to trust anything you say and it can actively mislead people about the politics you're covering and play into conspiracy theories that the party is stealing the election. Hoping that I can change my ranking in the future.

Nothing new

There are 2 dozen other podcasts that do exactly what this one does- except much better. The hosts are vanilla, lack any chemistry and just repeat the same talking points a million other pundits bring up. No intelligent analysis or originality and nothing here to recommend. I'd skip this one and look elsewhere for roundtable discussion. Even if you only listen to one political podcast, you can find much better.

Great series

I like this crew. They talk about the current state in a way that doesn't sound partisan and doesn't try to spin it, and certainly doesn't try and sensationalize what is already a very interesting election. For those of you who don't like hearing about numbers, maybe a podcast with "nerd" in the title isn't for you.
