Mom/son relationship building resource

We love movies (normal mom/son dates)! I am not too strict when it comes to movies but I do like to be informed. Several weeks ago my son and I were talking about a movie we had seen and were discussing the "undertones" of the movie (typical teenage response "Mom, sometimes it's just a movie"). It wasn't long after that I discovered Popcorn Theology (Star Wars episode with Dr. Lisle), "I am not the only one!!" It has brought a new dynamic to our movie talks (& car rides) along us to talk about how a particular movie portrayed Christian worldviews, etc. Mom doesn't seem so crazy.
I especially love the discussions that take place on the Facebook page. It is a great way to interact and see what others are saying (confirm/convict my own thinking). I think it helps our discussion when it is not just my opinion, when I can reference other believers, showcase that not everyone agrees, but explain the conversation. Thank you Popcorn Theology for helping us not to be "mindless consumers" and for offering an enjoyable resource!
We have even started watching some of the movies/series from the podcast or talked about on Facebook (e.g. Ant-Man / the Flash).

Pretty good!

Love the concept of this podcast! James Harleman is a great host! The other two guys are ok but can be annoying or corny at times. All in all though a lot of fun!

Love it!!

I listen to this a ton at work (mulching)...I was wondering if you guys would ever do a Dear Evan Hansen ep, there’s no movie but with a plot summary and the soundtrack there’s a ton to talk about that I’d love to hear your opinions on. I also have the script if that would help! :) Again, I love your podcast, keep it up! :)
