The cocktails are Old Fashioned; the conversation is Paradise

First of all, full disclaimer: I'm a acquaintance of Josh's who doesn't drink. So when he informed me that he was starting a podcast where the gimmick was a new cocktail every week, I was supportive in the "Oh god now I have to seem interested in this garbage to not seem like a jerk" manner of a man forced to look at the hideous photos of his coworker's newest child.

Incredibly, after I listened to the first episode, I didn't feel like I'd fulfilled a social requirement or met some arbitrary friend code. I just queued up the next one. Kate and Josh provide an interesting take on whatever topic meanders into the conversation, and they have a good rapport. Kate is the optimistic voice of a younger generation and Josh is an older, somewhat more curmudgeony sort. I can't speak for the cocktail recipes, personally, but I imagine they'd be just as absorbing as the rest of the conversation if that's your thing.

A warning; the first two episodes do have a few sound problems, but these issues are mostly sorted out by episode three.

I like it!

What a great show!

Cocktails and Conversation

This podcast is short, sweet and to the point. I love hearing the cocktail histories and the odd conversations. I look forward to it every Thursday!
