Not your typical “Business Insights” podcast!
If you are like me, you’ve read countless books about “business” by or about successful people that all try to make a point like “5 things all successful people do” or something they want to promote and push (snore!) as the ‘key to success’. This podcast features people who have had varying degrees of traditional business “success”, but what makes it unique and interesting is the wide range of deeply personal insights these people provide about being successful at *life* while also being a successful business person. What I really appreciate about them is that most of these insights don’t come across as people giving ‘advice’ based on what they believe has made them successful, but rather telling deeply personal stories about the challenges they face in life as successful business people, and talking about how they have handled them, warts and all, that give the listener insights and illustrate choices and potential approaches to difficult trade-offs without feeling ‘preached at’ in the slightest. Even the deeply personal episode memorializing her recently deceased Father (which will make you cry at least once if you have a beating heart) contains a number of really thought-provoking conversations about how to be successful as a human, friend and Father even while being a massively successful professional in a challenging job. The whole podcast has very personal, not overly produced or highly scripted vibe that I feel like almost anyone with a challenging career and anything else they care about in life cannot help but identify with.
EXACTLY what I was looking for
My favorite part of this podcast is the host. She talks to successful guests about topics like humility, ambition, kindness, and I leave every podcast feeling inspired to be a better version of myself or empowered to set bigger goals. It’s refreshing to hear a podcast host that genuinely desires to shine a light on her guests, and it’s so clear that Sarah does. I also love that she interviews everyone from top executives at Fortune 500 companies to everyday people. The important life lessons we have all learned are reiterated in this simple yet awesome podcast.
I love this podcast!
Great listen with inspirational life lessons from incredible people!
