Description

Welcome to the “Profiles in the American Dream” podcast. I'm Tim Cahill. About 20 years ago I wrote a book with same title as this podcast. The book explored enormously successful businessmen from my hometown of Quincy, Massachusetts. Their upward trajectory shared some common characteristics including humble beginnings, incredible vision, overwhelming struggles, a deep well of perseverance and in the end, success beyond their wildest dreams. Dunkin Donuts, Howard Johnson’s and Grossman’s became household names and each disrupted their industries through innovation and adaptation. This podcast is a continuation of these stories. Each of my new guests will have stories that are just as intriguing, if not more so. Join me as we engage with entrepreneurs from many different fields of work, unlocking their secrets and inspiring people across the country that their dreams too can be achieved. Please download and subscribe to this podcast, and let me know what you think by leaving a rating and review.

Real life

Great to hear real business owners share their stories, challenges and rewards .

A great listen...

Great storylines and questions come from guests + hosts. Awesome to hear about hardworking locals and their drive towards successful careers and legacies. A really intriguing and fun listen! Highly recommend.

Anxious to Hear Them All

Due to an unfortunate time difference I am often not able to listen live. The two episodes I have listened to have been engaging, entertaining and enlightening. Looking forward to adding this to my podcast menu. Mr. Cahill’s Quincy accent is a welcome sound to this traveler’s ears.
