This Can't Be Real
I have no idea what I just listened to but I feel like I just got way much stupider. I don't know who "Cory D" is but holy s**t boy, shut your mouth and let the other men speak, also look into your e-bonics, to learn what "we out here" means. Also stop reading straight from a book, you sound like a robot. This podcast has potential with the removal of the clown, Cory D, maybe that could be your new name, The Clown.
Episode 3 has shown some improvement. The podcast is clearly still in the early, hobby/experimental stage. The sound/music is good, but I strongly suggest making much shorter episodes going forward and sticking to one topic or employing some heavy editing before uploading. You might want to try for 15 minute sessions, or 30 at the longest. Five-minute soundbites might even work for you, especially if you wanted to move into making videos (later). I don't see a problem with Cory D. reading from a script, or rather, following an outline. Make a list of questions and ask the guests what they think about whatever the topic is, and keep it moving along... faster. For long term success, you might want to find a more niche/specialized topic to focus on or find some other way to stand out. I was happy that a woman was included in at least one episode so far. Keep that part up. To make these easier to produce, maybe you could record three or four episodes in one day and upload them later. Doing so many at once would help you focus each one on a different topic and be more inspired to move along at a faster clip. Plus, you only have to set up everything one time instead of four times for the same amount of audio content.
A timeless podcast with humor, good info, and great banter. This guy Joh asks the questions that I was wondering, great mediator with good nuggets of practical knowledge. Cory has a good formal knowledge, but that's stuff I can google myself. I would like to hear a bit more specifics, don't just say "I calculated it", give me typical body weights, examples, more anecdotes from yourself or people you've trained. A little less Pokémon Go would be great too :) I never heard anyone define the term macronutrients..I assume protein, carbs, and fats after listening for a while, but I was a bit confused at the beginning.
In summary, more Joh, more Nate, Cory I want to hear your experiences, not definitions. Jess is good comic relief, but keep it light. More examples and specifics. I'd say the latter part of the podcast was much better than the first 15min because it was more focused on the issue of overtraining. Great work, keep it up.
