Customer Reviews

Engaging and helpful

I don't often listen to podcasts, but this one hooked me. It's both entertaining and very insightful for writers. The topics are discussed in a way that's easy to understand and apply to my own work, while real-world examples help the knowledge sink in. I'd definitely recommend this series to anyone interested in the craft of writing.

Great Podcast: A Writers Friend

Thrilled to find this podcast. Excellent interviewer style, structure, and voice from Ryan ( rr. Campbell). Good friend to writers having a podcast for discussion and insight and support on topics relevant to our craft and lives as writers. Well done.

Even a Podcast Hater Like Me Loved This

I’m not an auditory learner. I like to see things, imprint them on my brain, and then write them down. I’ve tried several podcasts, and I’ve ended up trying to remember the exact recipe for Ma’s chicken soup and remembering exactly 0 of what I just listened to.

But RR Campbell’s WriteCast is so engaging, using concrete examples to break down his ideas without making them so broad that they could apply to everything and nothing at the same time. He’s specific, and in particular Episode 013 broke down scenes in a way that made me think about them very differently.

What I’m saying is, I TOOK NOTES. I didn’t make tea, wonder what kind of fiend drinks the last of the milk, make a list of all the groceries I need to make chili, or pay more attention to the news than the noise in my ears. If you love to write, and love to work on your craft, check it out!
