simple fantastic
Came for the Star Wars references, stayed for the podcast:)
Podcasts have quickly become such an insightful way for me of broadening my education in topics that I’m interested in, specifically Filmmaking. I love the feeling of getting to know a host, especially Ron, in such an intimate way through hearing him hash out his own adventures in filmmaking through the internet. Love the guests and the broad spectrum of talent that he has on here. Simply fantastic. Look forward to the next ep.
Not just another filmmaking podcast
This promises to break new ground among filmmaking podcasts. It takes a new story-driven approach to exploring the ins and outs of independent filmmaking and video production, rather than just standard interviews which have become the norm. The first couple episodes have been great, and I can't wait for more!
Connections for the 21st Century Filmmaker
In the late seventies there was a fascinating series by James Burke called Connections. It was a show that cleverly demonstrated that invention does not come about in isolation. Rather there are many events, circumstances, and individuals that lead to an invention or discovery. Ron Dawson follows in the genius of James Burke as he explores the creative connections of the past, present and future of filmmaking and the remarkable filmmakers behind the art.
