Boyfriend material

These guys are pouring their hearts (or perhaps in the case of Mr Siracusa, his long term memory storage) on a weekly basis and on one level, I admire their courage and honesty. But the other side of me stopped listening because of the self-congratulatory (or self-flaggetory in the case of Mr. Mann) navel-gazing. Yeah, podcasting is an intimate medium, but this conversation puts me closer than I’d like to these people I don’t really know as well as I think I do. John and Merlin seem like genuinely good people (see the title of this review) but the whole exercise is a bit too much for me.

John and Merlin just made my year

This is the best thing that’s ever happened. My favorite podcasters getting together to do a podcast.

Two Silicon Valley Hacks Yacking

If you are under 30 or over 55 you probably do need to know what these two silicon Valley pundits think about the movies they saw in the 90's. If you are about 48 and live in the Silicon Valley this show is for you because you have the same opinions and you will be comforted by having them repeated to you yet again. Skip this show and look for Mann and Siracusa on other podcast where they are not reliving their youth and can supply useful criticism.
