Good conversation, not-so-great host commentary
I enjoy the commentary with the guests and the conversation, but the extra host commentary after-the-fact is what I find strange. Not only do I find it not cool that the host adds in her extra commentary to explain/defend herself while the guests don't get that chance (this should only be used to introduce guests or topics), but this podcast also seems to be quite focused on the white gaze. I was looking for a podcast for black people or people of color but the host commentary seems to be more of a Racism 101 lesson for non-POC. I get that people enjoy doing that, but if the host is going to continuously talk like she's having to prove racism exists, it's going to be frustrating to listen to for socially conscious people of color.
I enjoyed this episode. It was encouraging to hear your interviewees be supportive of feminism, of equal rights.
I would have liked to hear more than one answer to the question "Do men or women have it harder in 2017?"
As always, a compliment to your recordings is that I want more and deeper conversations about each topic.
Again, thank you for doing this work. I appreciate it very much!
Nico and his wife were great. Nice conversation and I liked your closing statement.
