You are a secret agent and you have just found a nuclear bomb hidden on a waste barge in the USA and it is set to go off in 3 minutes. Luckily, it has a keypad to enter a six digit disarm code, and you happen to have found what looks to be the disarm code on a dead terrorist. Unfortunately it is written in a crazy letter code and you have to decode it fast. The code you found is PS PP LDPE V HDPE PETE.

What number do you enter to save the day?

Hint: There are a lot of empty plastic bottles kicking around on this waste barge.

    Special thanks to Braingle.

    This Episode’s Remotely Puzzling Problem

The year is 2006. You are driving your 1995 midnight blue Chevy Lumina from Boston, MA to Las Vegas, Nevada for a summer of cavorting and tomfoolery. As luck would have it, your car runs out of gas in the middle of the Nevada desert.

You, being a former Boy Scout, are prepared. You have two empty plastic cups, but you forgot to pack any water. After 2 days of wandering through the desert, you come across a spring of cold water! But your father taught you to never drink water straight from the ground. (Actually, your father would probably say shut up and drink it you idiot, but I digress)

So, you have two cups and water you can’t drink. How can you quench your thirst?

Special thanks to Braingle. This story was originally submitted by iLuVcOwS_00.
