Description

America's top two podcast personalities are finally coming together in one podcasting event that will change the way you think about podcasting forever! Like a rock skipping over the placid waters of an alpine lake, Dan and John are all too well aware that this burst of kinetic energy will ultimately deposit them, like all human effort, at rest in the icy depths where no light can penetrate. Until then, they mean to thrill to the chase! To soak up the remaining light and banish thoughts of tomorrow! EXCELSIOR! Hosted by John Roderick & Dan Benjamin.

Customer Reviews

What a fun show.

Dan is one of the great interviewers and hosts of the podcasting world. John is one of the most interesting people around. The camaraderie is fantastic. The world might not have needed another “two white guys talking about whatever” show, but this is the perfection of that genre.

Best phrases in the entire world.

For example: "the many halls of my psychological Versailles".

Another wonderful opportunity to hear John Roderick

If you’ve listened to Roderick on the Line (or any of the Back to Work episodes that John Roderick has been a guest on) - and if you haven’t, please go do that immediately! - then you know what a treat it is to get an hour or two of exposure to John’s considerable intellect, insight, and storytelling ability. The inaugural episode of Road Work had me laughing out loud - including during the ad reads, where John helped to make the usual advertising pitches fresh and new, something I didn’t think was possible after hearing those brands advertised dozens of times across the various podcasts I listen to. Dan Benjamin does a great job of setting up the conversations and you can feel his obvious pleasure and joy as you laugh along with him at John’s stories.

You definitely want to listen to this. I hope this podcast lasts for hundreds of episodes and I’m looking forward to them all.
