Customer Reviews

Hilarious.

I love this podcast. It helps that I've been a fan of Merlin and John Roderick in their other ventures (YLNT, various mac podcasts, 43folders etc.. & the Long Winters) for years, but even if you aren't aware of their other works, this podcast is still just as funny and insightful and dare I say "inspiring" as anything else on iTunes. Every episode is the aural equivalent of a Fruity Pleaser.

Literally the best thing on the internet

You know when you bite into a really really good sandwich? It's greasy and cheesy and spicy and meaty and wonderful and there's no way you should have tried to pick it up with your hands, and if your mom was there in the booth at the diner with you she would have yelled at you to use a fork but you didn't because, well, you were hungry or whatever?

That's this show.

You know Merlin from other things on the Internet (which you're on right now), and John Roderick from other things in music (which you listen to with the ears) and even if you're not familiar with their work, you should listen to this while organizing your stuffed animal and Lego collections or cleaning up after your multiple cats. It's like there are two great friends in the room and you're part of their lives as they talk about architecture and guitars and girls and beards and the VietCong.

Feel that? That's the loneliness leaving your body. Melting away, like the cheese in that wonderful sandwich of dulcet auditory tones you're about to download into your brain hole right now.

Opinionated, intelligent, and in-depth commentary.

John Roderick is an opinionated musician of The Long Winters from Seattle while Merlin Mann is Mr. Inbox Zero from San Francisco. Together they are highly entertaining. The show consists of Merlin calling John. In ways that should not surprise any followers of either men, John refuses to "agree to disagree" and Merlin continues to write things on 3x5 notecards. Commentary ranges from guitars, raising children, and how the Seattle Public Library is actually a space ship. It is safe to say if you are under the age of the 25, you may be too young to understand cultural references and jokes. Never fear! Anyone with an open and adult mind will enjoy this show.
