Fresh, Honest, and Actionable Information for Designers...

I rarely evangelize for podcasts but I think this one has something fresh, honest and unique. There is a lot to this podcast, so I will only touch on a few things that stood out for me. These guys (Guy and Gal) bring down to earth, practical, and current/relevant information for today’s designers… It’s titled Rookies but I think most everyone will have something to take away from listening to a few casts and of course subscribing. This includes designers like me who have been involved in art and design for twenty years or more - We all need to go back to the basics every so often and refresh best practices from client meetings to setting expectations and rounding out a good project with a new happy client, and a nice piece to add to the portfolio. I like straight forward realistic and constructive information I can put to work every day. This is a great podcast that does just that. Great podcast – keep up the good work. ~Neil, in MN.

Great for designers of all levels

I've been on the hunt for design podcasts for a while. Rookie Designer one is exactly what I've been looking for! It's a great mix of topics, from industry events discussion about favorite apps. As a freelancer, I work from home, and have often struggled in isolation with freelance-specific questions (the kind of questions that aren't covered in software-specific blogs). I've been wondering about such things as what are good invoicing tools, collaboration methods, meeting with clients, etc. Rookie Designer seems to be a great resource for professional development in the business aspects of being a designer. Love this podcast!

Simple yet complete

Great for new designers. Quick, concise overview of new products and issues. Easy listening.
