Conservative Christians are trying to protect the faith. Progressive Christians want to reimagine it. Meanwhile, our culture is moving beyond it. Who’s right? After stepping down this summer from a prominent conservative church, ex-pastor Drew Sokol finds himself in the middle and seeks answers to questions like: Does traditional faith still make sense in a progressing world? What’s God’s real intent for sexuality and marriage? And how do I follow a God I’m not always sure is real?

Five Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Be glad you have come upon this timely podcast. The host Drew graciously and candidly shares his “pilgrimage” with us to find the truth about, well, reality. Like me, and perhaps like many of you, it sounds like he has an ardent drive for something more tangible, knowable. What is true in this confusing world we live in? He has come to terms with the person of Jesus, but his doubts and questions don’t stop there. Co-host of the Hinge podcast with Athiest Cory Markum (of equal quality), Drew takes a diversified approach to seeking answers and is unafraid to ask hard and potentially awkward questions. This comes in a time when what seems like droves are leaving the Christian Faith while others seem to redefine it for their own purposes, and when there’s so much that’s right and wrong with both sides of the US American political sphere. Thank you, Drew, for sharing this with us! It gives words to the angst of my soul as I journey through an unprecedented existential crisis of my own.

Humble honesty

I’m a Christian and still believe intimate relationship with God is PRIORITY even though there’s no phrase that states that but the stories in the Bible signify that.
I love how honest you are but also how humble and respectful you do it. Some people act arrogantly and disrespectfully.
God knows and sees your heart and will open your eyes and your heart to see and to perceive the truth in due time 🙏🏾💙

So needed!

Really grateful that this podcast exists. I’ve been a Christian most of my life and still wrestle with so many doubts. I still struggle to find spaces safe enough to ask questions honestly and without fear. This podcast cultivated a culture of questions. And truth is not afraid to be examined. I needed to hear Jackie today (and every day really) and I’m grateful this podcast gave her a platform to speak wisdom over my generation, in desperate need of some hope.
