Sounds like radio commentary, fun if you like the show

I've listened to the first four episodes of the Season 3 Drag Race AfterBuzz podcasts and I have mixed feelings about it.

Right away from the beginning Kenny Harrison and his co-hosts admit, that yeah, they're starting the podcast mid-season, but would rather start it this season than not. The group hosts other podcasts and it's clear that this L.A. crowd knows each other pretty well as they often get side-tracked in personal conversations, and 'tucking' seems to be at the top of that list. At times, this is hysterically funny but sometimes alienates the listener.

Kenny's co-hosts do a good job of correcting his lapse in memory about certain details (such as in the RuPaula-Palooza episode when he forgot that Manila chose the order in which the queens got to choose their music, but Kenny said Manila chose the first person after himself and then passed the choice on to the next racer). This may seem minor, but it happens at least twice and episode and makes me wonder if the host is actually watching the show or not.

Overall, it's a free podcast and very entertaining. If you're a huge fan of the show (like me) it's worth a listen.
Anyway...Have fun! We're down to the final three racers. Who are you rooting for?

Want to love it

I've only listened to a few episodes and will try a few more, but so far I'm not loving it as much as I want to. The first problem I have with it is that the panel of commentators seem to range from anywhere between six to ten people. It's too many, they tend to talk over one another and get incredibly side tracked. I'm listening because I love the show and I'm curious to hear what other people think about it during my commute, but this is really just forty-five minutes of people yelling into a microphone. Also, the commentators seem to have no idea what's happening on the show. Half of the broadcast is them saying things like, "Well, what about Latrice?" followed by, "Which one is that?" Or, "Which one is the short one?" Or, "The one with the bad wig who thinks she's Carrie Bradshaw." And then the moderator asks them if they've seen the Untucked (behind the scenes) episodes… to which no one has, rendering them unable to discuss it. Um… I'm sorry, but how do you get to be a contributor on a show in which you know absolutely nothing about?? I hope these people aren't getting paid to be there, because it's a little ridiculous. The commercials brand them as industry insiders but no one seems to be that concerned with the topic. I hate to be so catty about it, but I really am going to give it a few more episodes and see if things get any better. I think Rupaul's Drag Race is one of the freshest, most original shows on television and I'd love to hear an actual discussion about the merits and lack thereof of the contestants and the show itself. Slim down the amount of people yelling over one another, do your homework and bring something worth downloading to the table!

I first tunned into AfterBuzz for "American Horror Story" when there was a possibility that FX was being pulled off DirecTV. I went to ITunes podcast section and the AfterBuzz podcast really appleaed to me. I love the AfterBuzz cast for Ru Paul's DragRace season 4 cuss they say everything I think. I wish I had known about AfterBuzz before soo I could have listened to previous seasons. Looking forward for the rest of the season & All Stars later this year.
