Welcome to psychology for the rest of us. Host Dr. Ellen Hendriksen takes the science of psychology and makes it both entertaining and relatable. Using a sympathetic ear and evidence-based research, she explains the ‘why’ behind emotions like joy, anger, fear, trust, and anxiety, and helps you better understand the relationships you form with your friends, family, coworkers, and yourself. Seeking a healthier emotional life? It’s time to bring a trained psychologist and mental health expert along for the ride.

Simple lessons for life

This is my new favorite podcast. Very short thoughts to change my thoughts about how to live life.

A brisk podcast with a great springboard for mental support

I found this podcast through happenstance. I gave the first episode a listen and found it to be a relaxing podcast to listen to.

I really like how Ms. Hendriksen's episodes feels like an analysis of a topic related to mental health. I know that it's not a substitute for a session with a trained psychologist, but it feels nice to hear about how to deal with a subject that I am not sure how to phrase.

I have been sleeping better since I heard the episode on feeling tired, and I feel better about my desire to clean instead of just get down to that second novel draft.

Pardon my rambling enthusiasm. But I am looking forward to the next episode!
