More than just a Podcast

Scripts & Scribes is a wonderfully entertaining and informative podcast, especially for a new writer. I have learned so much just listening and even had a question or two answered via email.
The kindness Kevin shows his guests is shared with the listeners.
Time is precious, this podcast is worth every minute.

Focused and informative

For those interested in working in film or TV, this is a great podcast. Informative conversations with working writers, lit managers, etc., who tell their personal stories and offer great tips. The interviews are always professional, and the guests do all the talking, with plenty of room to tell their stories. Terrific. Hope it grows and grows.

A Podcasst for Real Screenwriters

Scripts & Scribes is a great podcast if you're serious about having a screenwriting career. S&S interviews active agents, managers and producers, so right away we learn where the interviewee is working. People change companies like musical chairs so to be able to pinpoint someone's workplace is like winning the ultimate "Where's Wally" prize! lol The interviewees are kind enough to tell us the best way to approach them specifically- the particualy genres they like, the type of query letters they would read- or if they even read queries at all. This is invaluable information straight from the person's mouth. Other advice, such as, make sure your idea marketable even as you stay true to yourself, pitch to people (companies) who might be interested in your genre (refrain from pitching comedy to a producer who mainly produces horror) to who is open to newbies and who is by recommendation only... Again, invaluable. S&S interviewer, Kevin Fukunaga, asks questions I would ask, which is great. I always finish the interview with the satisfaction of knowing that all my questions have been answered. Thanks Kevin! If you are a serious screenwriter, this podcast is for you!
