Best podcast of them all
I drive a 18 wheeler Been a listener since show # 1 on the audio podcast steve and leo are great keep up the good work I'm one of your biggest fans look forward to this one every week now it will be better with video and every one needs spinrite got me out of a jam before.
This is an absolutly fabulous podcast! Steve Gibson is a very intelegent person, and he really knows how to spell out complicated things so average Joe can understand. In my busy life, I really don't have any time to listen to podcasts, but I MAKE time for Security Now. Even the adds are very much relevent; I use half the products they advertise. And unlike an earlier reviewer mentioned, this doesnt have a ton of wasted chatter; 90% in content! All in all, great podcast, keep up the great work Steve and Leo.
Used to be great. Now just ok.
Like all of Leo's TWIT stuff, it's 20% wasted chatter, 35% ads, and 45% content. The information from Steve Gibson is always very good. But suffer through the annoying chatter to get to it.
For the real bandwidth sufferers (rural dialup, satellite, and wireless broadband), it takes an eternity to download because the file is so large and Leo insists in relentlessly hammering an ad for 3 to 5 minutes each mention. It's just old school broadcasting techniques applied to modern day, quick paced information world. It doesn't mix well. If you were to isolate the useful infromation, you would have a file/show about half the size, and you would regain some useful time.
That said, again, Steve Gibson's information is some of the best. I used to listen a great deal in the beginning, he is clearly very knowledgable and understands what he is presenting. But lately, the topics have been a reach. You can learn a great deal if you have the time to listen.
