the selectbutton podcast is half rollicking argument about videogames, half self-absorbed inanity. It's a lot like those movies where the kids are playing a cool videogame, and then they get sucked into the videogame, but now when they die in the game ... THEY DIE FOR REAL.

this podcast is almost as good as playing God Hand, which is sort of like saying having sex is almost as good as having sex with God.

The best video game "theory" podcast

These guys don't talk about news, gossip, or game journalism. It's just sweet, juicy, semi-academic video game analysis. Mechanics, sound design, influences, themes, level design, etc. It's meatier than a AAA steak and more pretentious than a European art-house film. It's a podcast made by people who love games and it rubs off on whoever listens. Everytime an episode ends I get this intense desire to play games.
In summary, if you hate Bioshock and love Godhand, this is the podcast for you.

A joy

Every time I see a new episode in my feed my heart flutters. A meeting of like minds discussing aspects of the medium unadressed elswhere by passionate fellows. Always quality. I am sincerely grateful for the time spent.
