New listener

I have been struggling with anxiety and depression since the age of 7 but it’s been particularly bad since I was 18. Had I listened to these podcasts in those truly trying times I believe it would have really helped me. I’m in a trying time now and have been looking into help but counselors in my area focus only on prayer and trust in the Bible. Your podcasts and a few other recent thing may be the reason I’m in an upswing of a depressive bout that has lasted a couple years.
May I request one thing? If it is possible could you please do a show on the kind of social anxiety called notification anxiety? I know many people who are stressed beyond belief trying to keep up with phone notifications whether it be calls, messages, or email resulting in them piling up and ignoring all forms of phone communication. I personally have tried minimizing emails received and trying to shift the feeling of shame to something positive but those haven’t worked. Thank you for your podcast, it’s very helpful for those of us without anyone reputable to talk to.

Extremely helpful and relatable

I am only a few episodes into this podcast series, but I am finding it a godsend. I have engaged in counseling many times throughout my life, and recently made the decision to return to therapy. Dr. Margret is direct, caring, empathetic, often humorous, and delivers concise, useful information that is understandable and easy to apply. The podcasts are brief and insightful, perfect length for my commute to work or during a workout. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to begin or continue working on yourself and your quality of life.

Re: Episode 82 Confronting loneliness and apathy in relationships

Dr. Margaret has a knack for keeping her finger on the pulse of what’s going on in society as far as mental health issues.

I found her simply because I was searching for relief with my anxiety and depression issues. There she was and every podcast has had something of value in it to help me in my own self work.

Please check out her podcasts as no one needs to suffer alone. With Dr. Margaret you never will feel alone again.
