Encyclopedia of rock

A.D. and Ryan have a wealth of knowledge about many genres of music, but for me the best part of their podcast is the energy of their obvious long-term relationship.; these guys are clearly friends as well as bandmates.

The each have an encyclopedic knowledge of everything rock, from KISS to the seminal punk band Death and everything in between. They keep the show fresh with humor, beer and varous show approaches. The most recent of which was the "Dollar Record Bonanza," where they each bought three $1 bargain bin vinyl records from a local record store, unheard, and each drop the needle randomly on their discoveries. It proved to be an amusing and unexpected treasure hunt. Every new podcast holds surprises, history and some amazing rock n roll.

I genuinely enjoy this podcast and recommend it highly for anyone interested in rock. If you like anecdotes from the road and growing up listening to actual vinyl records, The Shabby Road Record Show is for you.

Home sweet home

As a former Phoenician and Shabby Road Regular, this podcast takes me straight on home to that dank and dimly lit, sunny slope studio. Every episode makes me laugh out loud, and the knowledge AD and Ryan present with this extraordinary music makes learnin' fun! 5 stars, dudes. See ya at Shab!

Vinyl version of Wikipedia

I am fortunate live in Phoenix, AZ and get to see and hear A.D. Adams play drums and sing almost every week at a local jam. He is a very talented drummer and always gives you 110%. A.D. and Ryan McKay are both very talented musicians in their own right. They consistently put together a great podcast that takes you way back to their musical roots. If you ever bought a record and could not wait to get it home and peel the shrinkwrap off and listen to it over and over again, this show is for you. A.D. and Ryan explore all genre's of music and always surprise the listener's with great trivia and little known facts about the bands and their music. I love listening to these guys banter back and forth in between great classic vinyl tracks. I never thought I would miss the hissing and popping of the needle on a record but it sounds so cool now and brings back great memories of my own, now lost, record collection. If you love music and love vinyl records give these guys a listen! Keep up the great work guys and rock on!
