High School flashbacks...

I love you! No, I love YOU! You're pretty! No, YOU'RE pretty! Giggle, giggle, giggle.. we love Jesus! Yay!

Come on, ladies.

So I have really enjoyed listening to Summer and Joy while trudging through my pile of dishes or mountain of laundry as a new mom. I have learned a lot and really appreciate the insight on feminism! However, this new "feminist of the week" segment is just so difficult to listen to. Yes, feminism IS silly. It IS an insult to the gospel. But, I don't see the point in scoffing and poking fun at these groups. I just wish this topic of these groups and their silliness could be handled with more grace and most of all while acknowledging the hope we have in Christ. Even a comment on how we should be praying for these people would be helpful.
Thank you for your laughs and insight and I hope this was helpful!

Five Stars for Content but...

Ok, five stars for content. I really appreciate that you're willing to tackle the topics that you do. Also, you have grown in graciousness and tact over your time in podcasting (example: the first If Gathering show vs. the most recent.)

Now to the "but." Listening to the podcast is painful. The small talk seems really unprepared for which lends itself to lots of filler sounds and words ..."like." The sing-song valley girl voices can really be hard to listen to. Now, when you get to what you're there to discuss, your speaking skills improve.

In one of the last two episodes, you mentioned a criticism you received and said...usually people complain about our voices and how we talk. We're not doing anything about that. This baffles me. You have a legitimate message and if people are turning your message off because your speaking skills need work, why wouldn't you work on that? I hope at minimum you'll cut the small talk.
