Description

Shipwreck is a San Francisco-based erotic fanfiction competition that pits six great writers against one great book each month. Fics are performed to a live audience by our resident thespian, that we might preserve author anonymity till the votes are tallied. Hosted by Amy Stephenson and Casey Childers.

Customer Reviews

gross and funny, funny and gross

all the buttstuff you could possibly require from an erotic fan fiction podcast.

Immoral

I am calling the police on this show. My 38-year-old son listened to the program and it made him quit his job. He became so horny from listening to this show that he decided he no longer wanted to be a claims adjuster, and instead wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a disco reenactor (person who acts like it's Studio 54 times for money). My precious Sturdges has become sleazy because of this radio program.

Into the Deeps

Before this review, I should note: I’ve written for this performance. I attend it regularly in person. I shout things like “oh yeah” at the physical event. But why? Read on, gentle soul.

Shipwreck SF is that rarest and most delightful of birds: that which thoughtfully addresses the serious by means of the common. The show, through uproarious (and decidedly NSFW) parody, treats literature as worthy of engagement. It frolics through the canon (Classic and Tumblr editions) and it does so with wit, aplomb, and occasionally piercing insight. Writing for Shipwreck has made me a better writer; attending Shipwreck has made me laugh so hard that I could not breathe. Give it a listen.
