Reinvented itself

It took a little while to adjust to the migrations of its two hosts and the sup china sponsorship, but it's again hitting its stride and is the best show on China out there. Has done a lot to correct its earlier "sausage party" feel

Sinica is must-listening for China-hands and others

I teach Chinese history at Georgetown University. I started listening to the reboot of Sinica (since Kaiser and Jeremy moved to the US) and have been impressed by ever-increasing quality of the shows--as well as how entertaining they can be. In theory I tune in order to catch up on aspects of contemporary China or scholarship in fields I'm not familiar with--and it serves that purpose admirably. In practice, though, I look forward to the shows because they so often have me riveted, or even laughing out loud as I bike to campus. Dope dealers in Beijing! Ink Monkeys! Chinese tech issues or the Chinese economy explained better than I've ever heard it explained before. The hosts are as clever and knowledgable as the guests. The creeping tide of anti-intellectualism has not dampened the doors of Sinica's peripatetic studio!

Wow. Best Podcast on China.

The Sinica Podcast consistently knocks it out of the park when it comes to guests on the show. This show is by far the best production, guests, and overall Podcast in China that is available. There are so many good episodes, but the interview with Jerry Cohen was hands down one of the top 5 since the show began. Amazing work!
