Skeptoid is not that skeptical as much as it is contrarian

Some of the episodes are good, some are overflowing with thinly-veiled libertarian propaganda. Sometimes this guy seems to want to be contrary for the sake of being contrary and he often goes off-topic, like on the show about organic food... he rambles on and on about leftist stereotypes which has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the main reason people eat organic is because of the way the food is grown, not how big the corporations are that sell organic products, not whether or not they're unionized. Next time you do a show on straw men, be sure to use half this show as an example of one.

Not a very good example of skepticism, I'd suggest SGU instead.

I've been listening carefully to quite few episodes now and I have to say I'm not hearing skepticism and critical thinking so much as just a gratuitous oppositional viewpoint. I gave it one star because of the lack of objectivity, which I think is absolutely essential in the world of critical thinking or skepticism. I would recommend The Skeptics Guide to the Universe as a much better example of a skeptical podcast.

There needs to be a 6 star rating just for this podcast!

This is one of the three best podcasts EVER MADE! I LOVE this - and any skeptic would! The ONLY thing wrong with this show is that it's too short and only comes out once a week! It has all the critical thinking and infallible logic as The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe and Point of Inquiry, and the hilarious sarcastic humor of Quackcast - its totally the best of both worlds. Those three I listed and this one are the 4 best podcasts out there, and I can't decide whether I would rank Skeptoid #2 or #3 (like I said the only negative is that I'm not getting enough of it - otherwise, this one would be #1 of all time). Dunning is a GENIUS at putting true believers and closed-minded christians and prudes and the like in their proper place. AWESOME podcast!
