On December 31, 1997, at a New Year's Eve party broadcast on live TV, Sheryl Sheppard accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Michael Lavoie. Two days later, she disappeared. In Season 2 of SKS, documentarian David Ridgen joins Sheppard’s mother Odette on her search for answers.

Customer Reviews

This is art.

First review I've ever left, and I felt compelled to do so because of a negative comment that I read about the story telling. THAT is the podcast. That is what sets it apart. The human thought process behind looking at something so closely that carries so much pain for a family.

Not into it

Ambling, pretentious, vague. I'm listening to this to hear about the family not the narrator's reoccurring dream. The podcast could definitely benefit from longer sound bites from the interviewees and less narrator. Otherwise it sounds like someone who desperately wants a spot on this American life.

Less pontificating please

Compelling material that is completely squashed by a meandering storyteller. This podcast is only 20 minutes long, and half of it is taken up by the narrator's pretentious pontificating. I'd much rather hear from the characters involved in the case than the narrator's bloated description of the landscape or his recurring dream.
