BONUS | The Cisco Grove Close Encounter
In the fall of 1964, an event occurred in the Tahoe National Forest. Donald Shrum, a hunter, was preparing to sleep in the woods for an early morning hunting excursion. But what happened in the dead of night would be the strangest and most terrifying experience of his life. One that would change everything he once believed, and would soon turn the hunter in to the hunted.

On episode 352 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, we explore a handful of mysterious UFO encounters that had both temporary and lasting effects on animals. And while the cases themselves are both extraordinary and truly bizarre, some of them would leave animals either agitated, excited, scared, or unfortunately; dead.

The Flatwoods Monster: Re-Examined
This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Give online therapy a try at: www.betterhelp.com/skies and get on your way to being your best self.
On episode 351 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, we review the classic Flatwoods Monster case from a new perspective. On September 12th, 1952, a group of local boys and one of their mothers saw what they described as a "shooting star" that fell to earth on the top of a hill. They soon stumbled upon an object that was glowing and hissing. Near the glowing object they were terrified to see a huge creature, that would come to be known as the Flatwoods Monster. What was it? Where did it come from? Featuring rare audio from UFO researchers, Ivan T. Sanderson and Stanton T. Friedman, we'll re-examine this classic case and look at some of the possible explanation for what may have crashed to Earth that day in 1952.

Project Grudge and the Fort Monmouth UFO Incident
On episode 350 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, we dig deep into the early files of Project Grudge. Intended to alleviate public anxiety over UFOs and persuade the public that UFOs constituted nothing unusual or extraordinary, Project Grudge sought to explain away UFO sightings. Officials recommended that the project be reduced in scope because the very existence of Air Force interest encouraged people to believe in UFOs. Eventually, the Air Force announced the project's termination in December of 1949. However, it would come to light that it was actually still in operation, albeit covertly, until late 1951. And one of the cases investigated was that of the Fort Monmouth UFO in New Jersey. Buried deep in what many believe was a coverup, the most detailed version would come to light through the words of the man who ran Project Grudge, and eventually, Project Blue Book; Edward J. Ruppelt.

Fantastic Pod
Very consistent and quality pod. Ryan is a wonderful host and does a great job curating the show with interest stories and knowledgeable guests.
Still asking for money every 5 minutes with hardly any new content.
This show was interesting for the first couple years and has slowing declined into a guy complaining about the topic and his peers who are trying to break stories while he constantly tells he needs more money to continue a show that he seems to be tired of doing.
Where did Ryan go?
Enjoy the podcast but wondering why there haven’t been any new episodes since November?
