Enjoying the show

I am enjoying the layout of the show and learning about bands that I either had a passing knowledge of or somehow avoided growing up. I never thought I would like Pearl Jam, but I liked the songs that Brian picked. I also really enjoy the snippets of actual songs in the podcast.

Great Premise for a show and well done

Enjoying this podcast, the in depth conversation on the artists catalogs and personnel is great. Can't wait to hear more.

Nice way to get to know the music from bands you may know or never knew much about.

Love listening to people who have a genuine passion for their podcast topic and who are just looking to share their passion with others. Brian Ibott got onto my radar via The Morning Stream (a wonderful humorous morning show with a geek culture spin to it) and when he mentioned he was doing this podcast, I had to check it. I am glad I did.

Just finished their Duran Duran episode, of which I am a life long Duranie, and thought they did a solid job brining a helping those who may have had just a casual knowledge of their music get a taste of their very large body of work. Naturally, their top 5 lists was missing things I would have picked, but I really liked how it about thoughtful picks versus just what the majority of people would say. It really sets the tone for this series of being about giving people great knowledge about the music of various artists. It is not about just spitting the same old stuff everyone expects to hear about.

I am really picking with podcasts, so four start is an above average score and something tells these two will be five star worthy in time. They are six episodes in at the time of this positing and I suspect they will just become better and better.

Bottomline, if you are looking to expand your knowledge about music artists from people who are not those snobish critics that refuse to acknowledge anything popular is good and who just pick the most off the wall unknown things to make them seem like real experts, this is great podcast to subscribe to and enjoy.

Keep up the good work Hammond and Brian. I just added them to my monthly Patreon podcasts I support with a small donation account.
