Awesome!

Sounds of the Caribbean is a reggae, dancehall, and dub station that plays the classics of the Caribbean while also featuring the occasional new artist. Sounds of the Caribbean is a relaxing and entertaining podcast that exemplifies why we love reggae music. Reggae's easy flowing songs that often have deep meaning and emotion are what drew me into this station and Caribbean music in general. The station's hosts and vibe will definitely have you coming back for more.

Broadcasting on Z88.9 to South Philly and New Jersey on terrestrial radio, Sounds of the Caribbean is the perfect station to chill-out with after a hard week of work. Playing songs from artists like the Itals, Kymani Marley and Burning Spear to name just a few, SOTC provides classic and new reggae music that flows well together to create a unique experience in each episode. The songs and hosts made me feel like I was on the islands where this inspired music was first created.

Sounds of the Caribbean is an easily recommendable podcast and radio show. I definitely recommend it for new comers to reggae and for fans alike. SOTC portrays an authentic Caribbean feel and provides the listeners with a nice escape to the tropical islands for an hour. Overall, I would recommend this station highly to someone who wants to experience a solid selection of what the Caribbean genres have to offer!
