Description

Here at Spilled Milk headquarters, we combine food and comedy in a bowl and stir it up until it explodes. Join your jovial (possibly too jovial) hosts, Molly and Matthew, for recipes, cooking tips, winning lotto numbers, and catfights. Spilled Milk has not been evaluated by the FDA and is not intended to treat any disease, but just between you and me, it probably cures chlamydia.

A Ridiculous Romp Through the World of Food

Despite being a long-time reder of Molly's blog, I wasn't sure what to expect when she announced her new podcast. Six episodes in, I'm wondering how a show that consists largely of hysterical laughter can be so bizarrely engaging. With silliness far outweighing any substantial content, Spilled Milk is the podcast equivalent of the most addictive junk food. If you want to hear some serious discussions about food and cooking, check out The Splendid Table from American Public Media. However, if you want to hear someone desperately trying to disengage a chunk of Scandanavian licorice from her back molar, I recommend you give Spilled Milk a listen.

Silliness abounds

Note: this is a correction of my previous review in which I clicked the wrong number of "stars"

These two certainly enjoy each other and love to laugh...much like the npr car guys, the silliness abounds.
Much fun here...though I hasten to add that I do prefer their writing. However, will continue to listen and see where they take this audio collaboration

Not quite as funny as they think they are

I really enjoy the writing of both Molly and Matthew, and I wanted to love Spilled Milk, but I'm afraid it is rather painful for me to listen to. Mostly because of the really bad jokes followed by hysterical laughter. What is clever and funny alone in your kitchen with a close friend doesn't always translate, and I'm afraid that's very much the case here. I do keep listening out of some weird sense of loyalty and love of the *idea* of this program, but I'm not sure how much I would listen if I didn't work from home and wasn't often looking to fill the silence.
