Trekkies rejoice!

Nostalgia with a brain

Already a huge fan of the StoryWonk BtVS podcast, "Dusted," I was thrilled to find out Alastair would be doing a Star Trek podcast. I've watched both franchises enough to never really want to watch them again. But I don't get sick of thinking about them. And thinking about them is so much better when one has as a guide such thoughtful and well crafted commentary as this.

I'm torn as to which format I like better: the exhaustive discussions of "Dusted" or the condensed, concentrated synopses and commentaries of "Slap Fight." Each has its place. Each works extremely well. I suppose with a body of work as large as all of Star Trek, it's better to nibble rather than gorge.

One of the most entertaining Trek Podcasts

Love this show! So sad to find that it just went on hiatus. The entire shows structure is great.

It's a fantastic structure with a very refreshingly open minded host. So often hosts are blinded by their insanely TNG-biased opinions. But this host thankfully doesn't bash Enterprise (which I feel had been extremely cruelly misjudged) or TOS. Or even Voyager!

Great show and I really hope you find a way to start it up again!
